Beth Kowitt is pursuing a master's degree in journalism at Columbia University. This semester she covered Inwood in northern Manhattan and had several articles published in The Manhattan Times.
She received her bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, with a double major in English and sociology. At Bowdoin, she worked for the college's weekly student-run paper, The Bowdoin Orient, for four years and was co-editor-in-chief her senior year.
Beth also has interned at a variety of publications, including Platts Oilgram News (a daily McGraw-Hill publication), The Jersey Journal and Port City Life Magazine.
